We will hold an end of summer meeting on Friday, October 28, 2011 at the Edens Auction Gallery, 3720 Flowood Drive, Flowood, MS 39232. Presentations will be made about the current auction business, as well as auctionzip, proxibid and other sites.

Batson Childrens Hospital.

The Mississippi Auctioneers Association has raised money through their annual January member meeting fun auction in order to make a donation to the Boys and Girls Clubs of Central Mississippi.

The donation is helping the Boys & Girls Clubs of Central Mississippi provide youth development programs to thousands of disadvantaged kids.

Justin Edens, Kelly Hogue, William and Zach Head made the donation in person at the Boys & Girls club this month.

In addition to the Boys & Girls Club, the Mississippi Auctioneers Association has made a donation to the Blair E. Batson chairty also supported by the National Auctioneers Association.

Hollingsworth to the 2009 newly elected board as President.

Mr. Hollingsworth will take over the position previously filled in 2007& 2008 by Benny Taylor. Mr. Hollingsworth brings 15 years experience in auction marketing, appraisals, inventory assessment and evaluation. He has recently completed courses offered by the NAA to receive the designation of a Certified Personal Property Appraiser (CPPA).

In addition to his auction experience, he has been in the automobile recycler business for 30 years. In 2003, he expanded his business to include equipment rentals. The Mississippi Auctioneers Association looks forward to Mr. Hollingsworth’s enthusiasm, dedication, and leadership in 2009.
