Larry battled cancer since 2001and died on Oct. 2, 2003, at his home in Madison, Mississippi.
He was a long-time member of the MAA having served as president four times and numerous times as a member of the Board of Directors.
As an auctioneer, he conducted more than 2,000 auctions during his 27 years in the business, but was perhaps most famous for the 25 to 30 charity and benefit auctions he held each year in our state.
Larry had envisioned the Mississippi Auctioneers Association to continue to increase its membership and further enhance the profession in our state.
