Local auctioneers to compete for world titles

(Hoffman Estates, Ill.) Local auctioneers Henry Redmond, Poplarville, and Zack Massey, Starkville, are travelling to Hoffman Estates, Ill., this week to compete in the World Automobile Auctioneers Championships.

Both will compete this Friday, May 4 among more than one hundred auctioneers and ringmen and women competing for a share of more than twelve thousand dollars of cash prizes and trophies. Starting at 8 a.m., three lanes of the ADESA Chicago automobile auction will host three competition categories including auctioneer, ringman and auction team. The auto auction will be covered with competitors and spectators from all across the country.

Redmond will be competing in the auctioneer championship, while Massey will be competing for champion ringman.

Massey has come close to the championship in recent years finishing second in 2016 in Missouri. Massey’s cousin, Dallas Massey, Starkville, won first place in the ringman championship category in 2017.
